Different Types Of Tarot Card Readings

By Stacey Burt

One of the most important aspects of any tarot deck or reading are the symbols. Whether using a standard playing card deck, or one of the many different spiritual ones available in bookstores, libraries or online, tarot card readings can provide a great deal of insight into life, love and beyond. In some cases, individuals can also discover a great deal about potential career paths, partners, and ancestry.

Some readers frown against others touching the cards. Others find that this is the only real way to exchange energy with a client. When doing so, it is important to cleanse the cards between each reading either with sage, or some other form of clearing process.

One of the best way to learn about Tarot is to attend a local workshop, or learn as much as possible through various online occult websites. If an area has an annual spiritual or psychic faire, or if there is an art, music, renaissance or spiritual festival in the area, readers can often be found at these events. Whereas, there are also those who work out of private offices, and in local entertainment districts like 6th Street in Austin, Texas, or Jackson Square in New Orleans Louisiana's infamous French Quarter.

One particular type of reading is that of the "Lifepath Psychic Reading, " though this type of reading is quite rare. It is believed there may only be one reader in the United States who offers this proprietary type reading. A reading which reveals not only past, present and future but current situations, what has brought these issues into the environment, and how to cleanse or clear the energy if so desired.

Regardless of the deck an individual uses on a regular basis, there are generally a number of different options with regards to layouts. A number of decks provide maps of different layouts based on questions asked, or topics discussed. Whereas others base layouts on past, present and future energies, issues, and resolutions. Most offer readings that can range anywhere from ten to fifteen minutes to over four hours.

Music, renaissance, spiritual and other festivals are often good places to find tarot readers. Most often these readers have to pay for a booth or other location. As such, it is imperative that clients provide not only the requested base fee but a nice gratuity when and where possible. Participants generally also have to pay for insurance, and post a sign stating that services are for entertainment purposes only.

Controversy remains alive and well with regards to phone and online psychic readings. While at one time psychic networks seem more like television phenomena than reality, there are now more phone and online psychic networks than ever before in history. Some which are honest, and others not so much.

Lastly, readers, old and new need to realize there are going to be skeptics who ridicule psychics and the profession as being fraudulent. Only those who have seen the power of the tarot through accurate "Lifepath Psychic Readings, " or traditional ones are going to be the biggest believers. Whereas, those who believe the act of reading cards, palms and other aspects of the occult are of the devil will most likely never believe the beauty or magic of the many different decks now available in bookstores and online.
