The Path To Salvation Is A Long Yet Enlightening Endeavor

By Tanisha Berg

Finding salvation or deliverance from sin is a journey that is incredibly intimate and personal. Even with all different faiths, religions, and gods; the path to salvation is universally understood. Salvation involves any soul being protected from harm, or saved from a desperate situation.

In most religions, deliverance from sin is specifically the concept of one's soul being saved from any wrong-doings and their consequences. Many people call this deliverance or redemption as well. Most believe a divine being grants this deliverance, but claim the personal effort is also required; such as repentance and asceticism. There is overlapping terminology between the religions, but most agree that the act of saving someone from physical death is not deliverance from sin, but resurrection. However, these two concepts are indeed related.

The study of soteriology examines the concept of salvation. One compares different ideas between religions about how deliverance from sin is achieved. It seems as though this common concept is quite prevalent among a wide range of different religious cultures.

According to soteriology, deliverance from sin has two meanings. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all understand it to be the concept of being saved by the divine. Other belief systems understand it as the soul being delivered from a destiny that may be unfortunate.

God presents Himself in many ways, and you can recognize His work in your daily life with specific tools. It doesn't matter if you lack faith or want to strengthen it. If you want to achieve salvation, there are ways to do so. One day to do so is to pray every morning to set a tone for your day. This will remind you that you wish to seek deliverance daily. Thank God and ask for guidance as you pray, or just speak with Him like a friend to build your relationship with Him.

As you live through your day, pay attention to all your surroundings. You'll find evidence of God's work everywhere you look. You might feel Him in a song as you make the long commute back home from work, or in nature as you walk through a park. Even hearing a child's laugh can remind you of Him. Take notes of these experiences so you can look back on them when you're having a hard day. Additionally, try to find salvation by giving to others. This will help you take the focus off your fears and selfish needs.

Always practice your faith if you want to achieve deliverance. This will help you feel His presence even more, and will also strengthen your faith in Him. Attend church, mosque, synagogue, or any other religious establishment where you feel you belong. Keep similar company so you can focus on what's important, and seek new relationships with those who share your faith.

Finding salvation is not an easy endeavor, and will not happen just because you spend a few days being mindful of Him. There are times where you just have to be patience and keep practicing your faith. Keep in mind that these are not the only ways to find God, and should only be used to start your intimate path. Regularly following these tips and living your days feeling His presence will slowly help you feel His grace.
