Tips For Making Custom Painted Graphics Texas

By Nancy Lee

Graphic painting brings an aesthetic appeal to any surface that one decides to put it. A lot of people who have a fascination for graphics usually consider taking their vehicles to graphic designers even for the simplest task. One can handle the design procedure alone as long as one uses the right procedure. The following are essentials for creating custom painted graphics Texas to ponder on.

Consider which items are ideal for the process. You cannot be successful in your decision to custom paint if you do not have the right items for the task. So, you have to get a sharp knife, oil-based paint markers, spray paint and masking tape. You should also have painting tape that you can use as an alternative to your painting tape. Look for painting with the best quality that lasts for quite a long period.

Cover your target area with a tape. There are other types of covers that one can use to draw the graphic, but using masking tape is quite ideal. Use a large amount of masking tape to cover the surface to create the perfect surface to draw on. The masking tape is good for a dark color surface. You can also use the masking tape as your stencil when you start the painting process.

Start drawing the image. You have to draw the image on your tape to get the best outcome. Avoid putting a lot of pressure to the point of spoiling the masking tape or damaging your primary surface. Use free hand while drawing the image to get or rely on an overhead projector. The image made using the projector is quite small and might require you to trace it all together as well.

Cut out the stencil. Cutting the stencil is not easy to do the task as most people assume. It requires one to be careful not to create a bloody scene. Cut the stencil carefully to avoid spoiling the outline of your images and damaging the surface of the vehicle as well. Cut every portion that requires a similar color at the same time to maintain even proportions.

Paint the stencil. Start by identifying a ventilated place that you should handle this process. Doing this process outside would be the best area or have a decent respirator to use altogether. Spray the place carefully and avoid overloads while painting. Avoid making overruns since they might end up ruining your paint in the end.

Use different colors. Ensure that the unpainted parts remain covered before you proceed to the next portion. This will avoid a process where you mistake a particular portion by using a different type of paint. Do not mask the whole image to avoid confusion that can make you leave out some of the portions.

Outline the whole painting. Start by removing the tape to leave unclear blocks made by the stencil. The appearance of your stencil requires an outlining marker to sharpen their focus. As you draw the outlines, do not place your hands on the portion to avoid smudging the paint. The oil-based marker is quite ideal for this idea since it is quite clear and does not overshadow the main painting.
