All About The Drake Type Beat

By Roger Kelly

Music is a quintessential element of civilization. Wherever and whenever, its always up there for the taking. Year after year, more songs and melodies join the large musical repository where they get established as generational to intergenerational classics, and a lot more as small fries. When it comes to making songs, composers ease their workload by using a premade drake type beat.

First off, it would do to know what type beats are. To say the least, these are instrumentals whose theme, nature, and some such stereotypes correspond to a particular artist. Pretty much every original artist has their own TB. At least, anybody whos anybody will likely have their own brand of it. Its also pretty much easy to ascertain, just type up the artist you want in a search engine, and their TB will probably pop up.

Before anything else, you must know and be specific and particular about what you like. Delve in the particularities. For example, how many beats per minute on the tempo would you like. Of course, trap beats, as a certain genre, have a tempo that is somewhat on the higher side, especially when juxtaposed with that of hip hop.

See also to the percussions. After all, the drum patterns will surely stand out more than anything. Listen to the snares, hi hats, and kick drums, and whether or not they correspond with the visions you have in mind. When youve initially picked out a type beat, dont just listen to it as it is. Rather, get some quality samples as well. IN that way, youll have a nifty idea on what your own output will sound like.

A jot above that, you have a full blown home studio. This isnt still the Pro, however, with this, you can already branch out to furniture and some acoustic treatments therein and on the walls and ceilings, whatever comes as necessary. And then theres the professional studio, which is founded on a commercial facility and is replete with the necessary tools and equipment, catering to many musicians simultaneously, if needed.

Type beats are a great time saver. They simplify work to a very considerable extent. All a rapper or musician has to do is to ask for a particular type beat, and when one is available, then work can proceed without any tussles and hassles. Really, though, it has been shown to be really important especially when a rapper already specifically knows what he wants or requires.

Anyway, TBs and instrumentals were heavily influenced by a style of hip hop music called Trap. This one developed sometime between the 1990s and 200s. You can tell this music apart because of the distinctive sub bass kick drums and occasional hi hats. The rhythms are in halftime, and they are rife with certain modifications brought about by accents of weak beats.

Orchestral synthesizers are used so as to bring about a richer tonal content. Sometimes, a trap can be hybridized with dubstep so as to create EDM. The trap is distinguishable through its ominous and gritty lyrical content. As it is, this is something that varies with each artist. Essentially, it is all about to each his own. However, common themes do exist, and theyre typified by subjects regarding poverty, violence, street life, and some such trappings of American rap.

Even when you do have the beats, youll still need some nifty knowhow on the production methods. The type beat is just like a building block, and youll have to do some legwork yourself. For instance, you would have to get the melody ideas down pat, as well as the basslines, patterns, combos, and some mixing and mastering to bring about the finished product.
