Try using the food sources that are not attracted to the insects so that they go looking for food in some other places hence leaving your garden free.

Use white vinegar to prevent ants from coming into your house. Ants have the tendency to leave traces that can be used by their colleagues from the colony to find food. You can easily wash off the trail by using white vinegar. The solution is made from a 1/4 cup of white vinegar, ten drops of peppermint, and 2 cups of water.

You can easily keep your home safe from pests by simply using the ideas above. If you can't apply all of them on your own, you can ask a friend to help you. They are good tips that are cheap yet highly reliable.
