Make Your Own Alcohol Ink On Canvas Paint

By David Anderson

Arts and crafts is a fantastic way to explore the creative potential of a person and an even greater way to learn. The best thing about it, however, is the fact that regardless of age, you re always welcome to participate. But how people go about this past time differs from place to place and materials used. One of these materials that make arts and craft so accessible is Alcohol Ink on Canvas.

The entire ethos of working with such a medium in the first place can be attributed to one thing. Experimentation. The use of alcohol inks is ideal for those people who want to try new things, whether or not they re any good or not. All in the name of, that s right, experimentation.

Making use of the dye is very easy and is as simple as spreading a few drops on an applicable surface and spreading them around until they dry. This can be done repeatedly with other colors as well or, an initiative can be sought out to make fancy designs to fill the surface that happens to be worked on, be it metal, plastic or paper.

Just like anything else that screams fun, protective measures need to be in place in the unlikely, but the possible chance for injury. Therefore, it s imperative that, when working with this type of ink, it be done so in a well-ventilated area in order to prevent inhaling fumes that can be harmful to a person s health.

Whether this product is brought or made there are a few things that need to be kept in mind and adhered to in order for the best user experience possible, the first is to ensure that the work space in which the ink will be utilized is prepared properly for the unfortunate but possible spill. A flick of a brush that s too strong or knocking over the paint entirely can result in a long and messy clean-up operation that could have easily been avoided.

Once that has happened, the next step is to take the sharpie in the color that s been chosen and but the bottom where it begins to make a funnel and form into a tip. The gap left behind by the hollow tube should be big enough for the ink tube inside to come out. From there, another cut needs to be made along the length of the ink tube, exposing the ink and then discarded into the jar.

From that point, all one has to do is pull out the plastic bits that are no longer of use, carefully as any spillage means a lot of cleaning afterward. And there you go. Your very own alcohol ink. What is important to keep in mind is that the less ethanol used the more concentrated the color and viceversa.

Using spirits ink for arts and crafts can be fun, and the work produced as a result of it be a sight to behold. But unlike other means of rendering paintings or anything needing a graphic touch. Be it paper, metal or glass, its use is unlike other products and precautions need to be taken in order to avoid inhaling fumes that may cause respiratory problems with prolonged exposure and nails that are hard to clean.
