Some people like the way it reduces stress and improves their fine motor skills, while others are more serious about the craft and are interested in creating a masterpiece that would hold up in a contest. That is why plenty of people like to enter their paintings into a painting art competition.

Those who are just starting out as painters might have a hard time finding the confidence to display their work, and it is hard to find a place to show it. These contests are perfect for people in that situation. Entrants know that they will get helpful advice from the judges.

It can be hard to stand out in a big contest. The biggest thing to consider is whether a piece probably looks like a lot of the other paintings that will be entered. Having something that makes a piece different is a huge advantage.
