How Led Zepagain Has Brought Classic Rock Back

By Rebecca Smith

Many of the great rock bands often spawn a host of imitators. This is truly complimentary to the music they made, lots of which have become so iconic that they are still being listened to today. Probably the best hard rock band ever set the standards for more than a decade and many have followed their footsteps.

A group of young men have loved this band and their music that they formed what is possibly the greatest tribute group for the original musicians. They called themselves Led Zepagain and often remind audiences that these are imitating originals. They could play the songs per note, and do all moves that original members made before.

They studied the group composed of the classic four man line up for rockers. The original bassist was John Paul Jones, the guitarist was Jimmy Page, and the drummer was the late John Bonham while the singer was Robert Plant. Zepagain covers these four musicians and could even pass for them if they wanted.

The tribute group comes from California, where Zep has been a mainstay for many musicians and rockers. It still is, and Zepagain has gained its own following, although this knows that their dreams of seeing the original group again are the inspiration for this. All are united in their appreciation of the greatest rock songs in history.

These imitators will have accomplished a lot of things from the 70s and 60s sound. They have also been mentioned for shows in television and they were complimented back by the troupe of original members themselves. This means their efforts have brought back music that was once a defining materials for earlier rocker generations.

What really distinguishes the imitators is that they could make exactly the same thing as originals did. The wall of sonic amplification, elegiac virtuoso solos, and the banshee wail of Robert Plant are all there. All being set against the backdrop that is a time capsule to those classic moments in rock mae by Zeppelin.

So many other musicians are unwilling or unable to make the copies precise, but the folks who make this know what they need to do. This has become translated to a brand new day for Zep fans, even as other musicians are making their unique but imitative Zeppelin sounds. A lot have fallen by the wayside, while a handful made the same success as Zeppelin did.

Zepagain does not pretend that they will be anything other than excellent imitators, and it is the key to success. For the folks who are in it, this is a journey that continues because of love. They go their unique way, and the success they make is testament to great musical ability and how the sounds made before are still worth listening to.

Watching them live is another one of those really great things to do. Concert goers who have no idea what a Zep set looked and sounded like are turned on by their live sets. And it is an experience that will always be memorable for anyone.
