Why Use Acrylic Photo Prints For Exhibit Photographs Instead

By David Fisher

Art has evolved in so many forms through out the centuries. Now we are given the privilege to produce and reproduce a piece using a variety of media and print them in many different ways. Even with the presence of these technologies, it does not stop art from conveying powerful emotions and messages.

Reproducing images need to be done in great quality to give justice to the aesthetic and soul that the original image hopes to send out. This is true to all forms of printed visual art. While there are many available methods in the market, the highest quality available is with acrylic photo prints. Other ways involve canvas, metal and aluminum printing.

The more popular option is actually canvas printing since it has been used for a long time now. What many have been picking up though, is using acrylic printing methods for their ability to make colors pop up. But many professionals know that the method to choose would depend on the photograph, since each has their own aesthetic attribute.

If the image is meant to have a burst of colors and you would like to have a 3 Dimensional like effect, acrylic prints would be the way to do it. You are also guaranteed that the product is durable. The way most printing companies do this involves pressing the photo paper where the image is initially printed into the two panels of 5 mm acrylic sheets.

Artist who prefer a sharper image, especially when it comes to high def photographs should largely consider the more high tech option. A piece printed in this method gives off a more of a modern vibe that makes it perfect for a more contemporary and current settings. This claim does not discredit the advantages of canvas printing since that in itself has its own style.

For more commercial purposed the more high definition option would be best since they give a sense of sharpness. The aluminum support used to prop them up also gives a sense of depth and modernity to where the piece is supposed to be displayed. These prints would look great on office spaces and reception areas.

Consider how you would want to view the colors. There are also other artists that would prefer to have the soft feel that canvas printing can offer. But if the quality of black, reflectivity and vibrancy of the print is something that you prioritize then the most high definition option would do the job.

Even when you need to pay a higher price for these prints, you can assure that they are very durable. The coating is UV protected so that sunlight will not damage and affect the colors. Canvas prints are not coated by default although you can always have them varnished to protect from moisture.

Cleaning and maintenance is also easier. All you need to get is a specialized product found in the market, usually also used for glass and other similar surfaces. These materials are also very affordable and easy to find. It just takes a few minutes to apply the substance and wipe it down.
