This is one of the fundamental skills that a learner should start with. In addition, it is also important to look at the form of the body and the posture while playing it.

As you can observe, violinists usually have that classy, elegant, and graceful movements. They do not move too much because that could affect the production of sound. It is okay if you still cannot produce the perfect sound. You are still starting anyway. So it is fine if you stop from one chord to another while you play a simple musical piece for beginners. Do not rush and there is no reason to pressure yourself. Learning music is not about pressuring yourself. It is more about having fun.

Your shoulder, in addition, should also be relaxed. A good posture will help as well in relaxing all your muscles. There are different postures that you will learn in the course of your learning. The balanced and virtuoso postures are some of the basics. They will make you look graceful and elegant.
