Now the real name of Vibe is Antonio Pereira who is a Portuguese that was born in Lisbon during the year 1967. Now he enjoyed house music at a very tender age and even aspired to be a DJ already when he was very young. He carried on this dream of his and actually began a career as a club performer when he was fifteen.
Pereira began playing first in several nightclubs in his hometown before he became famous. While he was performing in clubs, he actually partnered up with a lot of big names in the dancing scene. Some big names that he teamed up with were Paul Oakenfold and Roger Sanchez among others.
Now it was only when he met a fellow DJ by the alias of Doctor J that he was really able to create a big name. Doctor J, otherwise known as Rui De Silva was another aspiring DJ that wanted to also create a name for himself which was why he also teamed up with Pereira. Together, they formed their first project which was the Underground Sound of Lisbon which was able to top not only the national charts but also the international ones.
The duo kicked off the project with a single named So Get Up which featured the singing voice of Darin Pappas. The song made its way to the top of the House Billboards and snagged the top spot for some time. From there, the duo went on to create many other singles and songs that really made its way to the charts in the house music scene.
Now aside from that, Pereira and De Silva were also known to be the founders of Kaos Records. With the help of an entrepreneur and promoter by the name of Antonio Cunha, they were able to make this happen. In fact, Kaos Records was actually among one of the very first house production record agencies in the country.
Aside from those projects, Pereira is also known to do a lot of remixes of other very famous DJs in the country. Because of his works, he was even able to get a title of Worlds Best DJ right before the millennium. Today he is now forty eight years old and is still a very active DJ who makes a lot of music for house fans to hear.
