Unfolding The Reality Of A Punk As A Part Of A CBGB Band

By Miranda Hawkins

Music is a real language of the soul. What the mind thinks yet the lips could not utter is easily spoken by a song. A song reflects the inside of a person. It is a way of freeing yourself from the hateful angst that everyone usually encounters.

A music club was built in 1973. The club welcomes everyone who wants to join in the fun. Folks have found it as an answer to their desires as they believed that music clubs have such wonders in welcoming awesome bands. Becoming a CBGB band in the club hails answered prayers to a lot of bands and music and fun lovers.

CBGB stands for country, bluegrass and blues yet the club is a wholesome venue to punk rock and new wave bands which a lot of teens in those days have given into swaying their own grooves. No matter what kind of song those teens admire to listen or what punk song the band loves to play, music is still a melody of their hearts. There are words that only a song can speak.

The bands all look punk because it is their way in perceiving themselves. Their song speaks of themselves too. Being a punk is very unlikely to some ordinary folks but they do not know what those kids can do.

These bands only follow what is rightful and just. Though some people observe them as practicing devilish acts yet it is absolutely a lie. They never do such ways because they are moral people. They believe in what is right and what is wrong.

A punk band have their unique lifestyle which is weird to some. They resist in tyranny and believe that everyone has their freedom to become who they are and to believe in what they want to believe. Though their songs are somehow connected to rebellions and anarchy, they still believe that expressing the desire of their heart is one way towards freedom. It is important for them to build friendship to the same kind of people because those are the groups who knows and understand their lives and their stories.

Punks live a normal life too which is somehow opposite to how they look. They cook their own meals, wash their soiled clothes and earn for a living. They do house chores the same as what usual folks do. They want their lives to be a success too.

Punks have their own style. They dress in the way that they love. How they look and how they write their songs mark a deep meaning as a human being. It solely reflects the real them. They are not born to be judged but to be loved. The conviction of others do not affect them because they know that they have done nothing wrong. For as long as they are living rightfully, they know that they will be in good hands.

Punks and their groups of today have become cooler. Though they are grotesque as what some people perceived them because of how they look and act, they still have hearts as soft as cotton. They love truly and they understand which things are right or wrong. They never fail their friends and families in giving their best because it is how they show love. In every experiences that they encountered, they make a song to it.
