All About Selling Hip Hop Beats And Rap Instrumentals Online

By Delroy Wilkins

Writing a song is not an easy process. First the lyrics, then we have melodies, the rhythms, and other elements that must be created and synced with each other to form a coherent song. If you are a hip hop artist, you would likely know that coming up with amazing beats and instrumentals takes hard work, top-of-the-line skills and some luck. But as an artist grows older and stays in the music industry longer, he or she will find that his/her musical taste is being established. Soon it'll be easy for an artist to pick out the appropriate beats for his/her song and creating instrumentals will be a piece of cake.

The first way of choosing your rap beats is considering the concept of your song. Take a step back and ask yourself, what is your song going to be about? Is there going to be a theme? Try to be specific as much as possible and identify the emotions that your song is going to convey to your listeners. Once this is done, browse through your music library and find some instrumentals that match the theme and the emotions.

There are two methods that you can employ in choosing the right rap beats for your song. The first one wraps around the concept of your song. What is your vision of your song? Is there any concept? Is there a theme that you want to follow? Is there a predominant emotion? Once you determine these factors, you can match your instrumentals to those concepts.

The second method is more free-style and it is perfect for rappers who prefer letting everything flow - from the lyrics to the concepts to the beats. If you are this kind of artist, the first method won't really do you any good. Rather, you can go through your collection of beats and instrumentals and listen to them. Pay close attention and look out for any track that might catch your attention.

Looking for beats is not that difficult - different types of beats can be found anywhere, especially online. What is challenging, however, is distinguishing different beats. There are of course, different factors that you need to consider if you need to figure out the instrumentals for an upcoming song. But the best way to tell them apart is to listen to the types of instrument used to create the instrumental. Remember that different instruments produce different personality to a song, and the best way to hone your skills is to listen to different types of music and instrumentals available to you. With these, you're on your way to creating the perfect song!
