There are ways to they use to get their thought systems running and then focusing these thoughts. By doing this, they reach a point where they are easily inspired and create sounds that everyone listens to and thinks are awesome. Such people have great talent, however, talent alone isn't enough to enable them create great sounds consistently. They know that it's a continuous process. This process is what enables them move past the limits of their creativity. There are a few techniques you can employ to help you take control of your creativity.

Break it down to small parts. Rather than try to work on the whole song at one go, its best to break it down into small parts. A major problem most people experience is trying to create great beats at one go. This results in trying to bring together many different ideas which just limit creativity. Rather than try to bring together many different sounds together, break the sound into small parts. Concentrate on a few of these sounds at a time and eventually, you will get your perfect beat.

Reduce the number of sounds per beat. Although you might think that the perfect sound will be created by adding new sounds to the current beat, its best to focus on using just a few sounds per beat. As a rule, using too many synthesizers in a beat makes it more complicated.

Use a few themes. Some of the greatest beats have been created using sounds from different genres of music. This however doesn't mean that more themes in one beat is better. Focus on using just a few themes per beat to avoid creating confusion in your sound.

Cut on the tracks. As with sounds and themes, more do not necessarily mean best. It's advisable to concentrate on tracks that add value to the beat. To get the perfect sound, focus on the beat limit.
