Phillip Romero is one of the most well known names in policy making, economics, and even finance. Being an expert with the collaboration of business and government, he has even served under a lot of governors as their economic analyst and even a part of their policy making body. With this experience and knowledge in this type of expertise, he also became a professor in several universities.
In 1983, Romero graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelors Degree on Economics and Political Science. After he finished his first degree, he took up his Masters Degree in Rand Graduate School under the program Policy Analysis. He also got his PhD from Rand Graduate School and finished his education in 1988.
After he was able to get his PhD, he decided to work at the RAND Corporation which is located in California. He became a researcher for economic growth and created some defence policies for the corporation. He was then given the title as director of strategic planning for the United Technologies Corporation otherwise known as UTC. Because of his work, he was able to grab great marketing opportunities for the corporation which enabled them to do better.
Sometime during the early nineties, he was gotten by Governor Pete Wilson who was the current governor of California that time. Governor Wilson made Romero into the main economist of the whole state of California. It was because of him that California was not directly hit by the US recession and was still able to become economically stable.
Governor Wilson also made him a director of the Office of Planning and Research or OPR which was the analyzing and policy making body of the governor. It was through his efforts that many good policies were implemented which allowed the government to become successful in its endeavours. Unfortunately, Governor Wilson had to leave his position which also meant that Romero would also have to step down from his current job.
From this line of work, he then decided to try for a more educational field by becoming a professor of business administration. He entered the Lundquist College of Business in the University of Oregon and became one of the most well loved teachers in this department. He then made his way up the ladder and became the dean of this college until his retirement some time in 2004.
Now when he became the dean, he was able to bring the entire University a level higher by making it receive a lot of publicity from the media. Also, he was able to train a lot of students to become outstanding scholars who eventually made names for themselves. In general, he was able to make the school one of the highest ranking ones in the entire country.

Because he is very good in both business matters and government matters, he is able to create a way to make himself successful in his field. He is definitely a man that everyone can look up to.
