A Biography Of Anita Murphy

By Vicki Diaz

Photography has always been a very good hobby that has been turned into a very promising career path for a lot of artistic people over the past few years. Among the most famous photographers in the entire world, one woman known as Anita Murphy has made her mark with her outstanding skills. Like everyone, she started out small and became big through her little projects.

For her educational background, Miss Murphy came from the University of Wales and took up BA Hons in Documentary Photography. As earlier as then, she was already a very detailed photographer who really paid attention to the little things that showed up in all of her works. Because of this, famous names like Ken Grant and Paul Seawright decided to also teach her the ropes.

When she had already graduated, she traveled all the way to Berlin in Germany as this place was known to be a haven for aspiring photographers. The scenery of the place was breathtaking and it was a great spot for many kinds of pictures. Because of her formal education, she was able to make a name for herself in this country.

Some of her expertise includes taking photos of weddings, events, and food. She is especially good at taking crystal clear candid shots of for example chefs when they are in the height of making their food. Her excellent timing when it comes to taking action shots are very well known as a lot of her work comes out in a few magazines and articles.

One of her very first major projects was to do some picture taking for a documentary called Gorjas. As she was skilled in documentary photography, Murphy was able to capture the essence of an old Gypsy community in Rover way in order to show people what their life is like. Her purpose for doing so is to take away any bad perception people that people have about the Gypsy community.

A Dogs Life was another one of her greatest works which included the famous Ger Mckenna who was known for raising purebred greyhounds for the sole purpose of racing. Mckenna only raised greyhounds because these types of dogs were basically hunting dogs that were known to travel really fast and had good sense of direction. Murphy wanted to showcase these dogs and portray the spirit of these animals.

Sometime in 2004, she decided to head back to Ireland and continue her photography career there. Since she already had a steady career, she did very well in Ireland as a lot of her works were exhibited there. She is even featured in the Irish version of the very famous Times magazine.

Anita Murphy is known to be one of the most sensitive photographers as she can really see the essence of her subjects and capture them on camera. That is why she is said to be able to even take photos of the emotions of people. She is definitely a person who is worthy of praise.
