A Look Into The Cons Of Breast Augmentation

By Erna Gutierrez

Some people find the idea of breast augmentation Atlanta appealing, and they are not to be blamed. In this modern age when commercialism has endorsed its own idea of a true beaut, women are quick to panic while checking themselves out. Certainly, they think that there has to be a way to boost their self confidence or make them more appealing.

By the year 1997, it has been reported that the number of women getting implants has indeed increased significantly. What is interesting to note is that even when there was limited background search about the procedure, others still braved the procedure. From this stand point, women should not make the same mistake of jumping into the bandwagon if they want to secure the positive outcome of this alteration.

The year 1960 was instrumental to this field in cosmetic surgery because it was when the procedure was introduced publicly. As expected, there were only little sales for the implants, but they soon started strengthening by the 1980s. A decade after, an overwhelming percentage has been listed, thus baffling people but making them curious all the while as to how this could have convinced many women to alter their form.

While this seemed to be an achievement to some, it did not take away its reported risks. The effects are serious and could either be short term or long term. This is the reason why consumers of services in this modern age should still be aware of the possible complications despite technological advancements.

To cite some of the complications, there is the possibility of having numb nipples or experiencing discomfort from chronic pain. Seeing that the implants contain silicon for its shape and form, it is also common to hear cases of leakage especially for substandard ones. With the differences in outcome, a patient may feel unsatisfied with the look that another operation be required, thus adding up to the expenses.

Autoimmune diseases are said to be connected to procedure. This is because the effects may lead to several conditions that also prompt the triggering of cancer cells. Even if there is no direct correlation made, still, the risk can lead from one to the next, which means no escape for those who do not have good health conditions.

Meanwhile, there are other concerns that you need to be wary about. For instance, the milk supply from your breast will be lowered significantly if you have implants. This is because of the toxicity that could get in the bloodstream of the offspring. There have also been complaints about memory loss or the inability to focus full attention towards a task.

Another downside to the procedure is that it is very expensive. The totaled costs for the treatment could go to a more useful investment that would have more meaning to the person. While others have no right to dictate how they spend their money, realistically speaking, it is wiser to find worthy investment nowadays that are for long term use.

The ad campaigns initiated by the media could be prompted by their own biases or the limited perception they have the general masses. Usually, it is up to the consumers to do their own research about breast augmentation Atlanta. By this, they can form their own ideas and decide for themselves, eventually with the guidance of a trusted expert.
