By Stan Castle

With going to the movies being such a popular past time, there are several concerns on the impact it may have on the well being of moviegoers. Often times, the debates arise with regards to going to theaters, in contrast to watching movies at home, primarily because of the excessive sound effects and the massive screens. The majority of movie enthusiasts will probably swear by watching films in movie theaters, with their quality surround sound devices and big screens, but some health professionals have expressed concerns.

Movie theaters have been at fault of playing movies too loud, which may have negative effects on the eardrums of numerous film lovers. Especially at risk, are small children who have much more sensitive ears than do men and women. Should you exit the movie theaters with a buzzing in the eardrums, this could mean that injury could have been caused directly to them, and recurrent episodes may cause long term problems. To treat this challenge, a good answer would be to use ear plugs.

One other issue with movie theaters is specifically related to Three dimensional movies. Individuals need to be advised that 3D modern technology in movies might cause headaches, vertigo and nausea. On the other hand, experts in photosensitive epilepsy declare that a 3D film playing in movie theaters wouldn't amount to seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy.

Movies may also alter the body and our brains in different ways as a film transfers its message by way of emotion. In turn, this leads to a psychological release, which is not generally a terrible thing. For example, a comedy film may distance someone from his or her problems, thereby lowering tension, and bringing down blood pressure levels. An intense horror film can rise heart rate and blood pressure levels though, and it could even trigger painful memories or events from prior experiences.

Consequently, it is always suggested to understand your personal health conditions and the dangers associated with viewing a certain film at the movie theaters. Should a film may place you in jeopardy, basically avoid it for something a little more subtle or risk the possibility of getting sick.
