If The Discussion Is About Motorcycle Speakers Handlebar Types Are Supreme

By Rebekah Alford

Around the year 1885 the motorcycle made its debut into the arena of transportation. The European introduction gave way to a migration into America as well as the rest of the world. Over the past one hundred twenty seven years this two wheeled wonder has improved in safety, power, durability, and comfort. The increasing popularity of motorbikes is in part being fueled by the rise in gas prices. When one considers adding motorcycle speakers handlebar versions are hard to beat.

There is a lot of political debate going on regarding automobiles and fuel efficiency. This is never a concern with motorcycles. Most can easily achieve over forty miles per gallon on the highway. So for those that choose to move on two wheels instead of four, there is a desire to experience everything a car or truck has with the exception of long lines at the pump.

Adding handlebar speakers is a positive move for any bike. The speakers are designed to provide the best sound whether standing still or moving at highway speeds. So whether parked at the edge of the ocean or traveling at top speed through the heartland, the sound coming through these audio masterpieces will always be optimal. Obviously, these are not everyday sound devices.

Handlebar sound systems can be purchased in complete kits that contain everything needed for installation. The kits usually include 2 to 4 speakers, micro amplifiers rated for up to 400 watts each, mounting clamps and necessary wiring. A USB charger is usually included as well.

Of course, the heart of the kit is the speakers. They are aerodynamically designed. This is known as the bullet profile. This ensures minimal wind drag and maximum fuel efficiency.

The speakers range in sizes from two inches up to three inches. They are usually water proof which should not be mistaken with the water resistant label. These repel water, period. The housing has options to match the decor of any bike. Chrome can be matched in any color. Specialty grills can also be selected. Grills with skulls, crosses, and other symbols are available to give the sound system a more personalized feel.

The sound system follows suit with standard motorcycle technology. It has been prepared to be as flexible as the needs of the driver. A cellphone, iPhone, iPod, scanner, or other device with 3.5 millimeter phone jack can be plugged in. If necessary separate handlebar mounts for the electronic device can be purchased. The use of remote controls for the devices should be considered. As a matter of fact, all options that can optimize the safe use of motorcycle accessories should be researched.

The typical easy rider can now enjoy clear music yet stay aware of what is going on around them. Weather can be reviewed at all times. This awareness allows one to get to safety if necessary. Scanners can be used to keep abreast of road troubles and eliminate time stuck in traffic jams.

Biking is no longer a casual phenomenon. It is a primary means of transportation for millions. When making a decision on motorcycle speakers handlebar types are definitely hard to beat.
