They devote a lot of their time to taking pictures, developing the optics that they have taken, and of course editing the pictures to their client's specifications. While building up your clientele, you may even have to hold a supplemental job outside of your photography business.

The best way to start building up the amount of clientele that you have is to take on odd jobs that are offered on a contract or freelance basis. When entering into the field you will need to prove your worth. The only way to prove your worth is to go out and work for several clients that in the beginning may not be willing to pay you what you believe you should make, but the experience will be helpful.
