Bands for Occasions

An exciting event is just one that should appeal to all types of guests, plus a live band is hired to liven up and entice your guests to be up on their feet and dance. Here are some great bands for several types of events:

1. Jazz Band

Jazz music matches well to any company event that may contain a New Orlean's theme or bring back the jazz band era of the Forties. There are numerous jazz music styles such as swing jazz, acid jazz, Latin jazz and the like. Event organizers can select to have a solo, duet, trio, quartet piece band, subject to just what the client wants. If your client can pay for to suit a large band, the customer can look for 20 or maybe more musicians to perform. Instruments normally used by jazz bands are: piano, saxophone, trumpet, violin, accordion, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, flute and percussion.

2. Soul and Motown Band

Soul music came into prominence during the 50s in Detriot, Michigan. It was actually made popular by the likes of James Brown, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Smokie Robinson and more. It's a great selection for those that would like to entertain and engage the crown to have a great moment during the party. This type of music type was inspired by the other styles like jazz, gospel not to mention country. The following instruments as used by soul bands are: drums, bass, guitar, piano and harmonica.

3. Blues Bands

Blues is a musical genre started in the African-American communities of the "Deep South" in US. Blues bands develop a fantastic choice for themed activities with club environment followed by Southern cooking and all-night dancing. A couple of musicians who popularized this music was Muddy Waters and B.B. King and many others. A lot of the musical tools used are: harmonica, piano, bass, drums and guitar.

4. Traditional Bands

A few event coordinators hire classical bands for the superior sounds and simplicity of making your reservation for them anywhere. Conventional musicians are generally dressed up in formal costumes that gives it a touch of tasteful elegance. Classical bands ranges from duo to decent (10 members); bigger options are also available. Equipment frequently used by this musical group are: chamber music, classical piano, guitar, harp brass ensemble, string quartet (one violo, two violins, one cello) and woodwind.

5. Bluegrass Bands

Bluegrass music is a kind of American roots music and considered under country music. It is inspired by Appalachian music fused with Irish, English as well as Scottish standard music. This particular music is perfect for outdoor barbeque and picnic gatherings, and the like. A number of the instruments employed by bluegrass bands are often the banjo, fiddle, acoustic guitar and mandolin.

6. Country Bands

Country music is an American musical category which includes its roots from rural Southern through the 20's. It is reminiscent of American folk music and western cowboys. It provides a unique interest to the target audience. Country band is ideal for sporting and other outdoor events. Country music normally contains the following musical instruments: banjo, bass, dobro, autoharp, fiddle, guitar, harmonica, piano, zither, washboard and more.
