Mesmerizing Pictures Of Wild Birds

By Pamela Hardy

The serenity of a photograph of an untamed creature always helps to calm a person down. Those who seek peace and respite from the modern stresses of the world look to pictures for solace and comfort. Pictures of wild birds and other creatures can't help but make a person feel centered and grounded once more.

Photographing nature and wildlife has been a hobby of mankind for a long time. People knew that they weren't the only ones on the planet, and the study of other living things always perked man's interest. Drawings in ancient caves show how much man learned from the beasts that roamed the planet.

In the beginning, wildlife was all about untamed animals. Soon, man learned to hunt and began to study the creatures around him to learn how they lived and interacted. When he knew how they treated each other, what they ate and how they survived, man learned how to survive too. He could follow them and do what they did to keep warm and be fed.

Hunting is slowly stepping aside for conservationism. People now pick up cameras instead of guns, pointing and shooting at the creatures in the forests and jungles without harming a single hair. Sketches and drawings of animals are slowly giving away to film.

People still enjoy seeing images of wildlife. Office walls and residential alike are decorated with such painted images. Digital photos show up as computer desktops and backgrounds for other modern devices. The vivid imagery of a bird taking flight catches the eye and one can almost hear the song that should accompany the picture.

Seeing pictures of wild birds can calm a person when they feel trapped in the day to day routine of surviving in a city or in the workplace. The splendid colours and varieties of wings and tails and beaks can take a person's mind off other stressors in life. Nature always has calmed the soul of man.
