These travel programs can be an informative means of getting information and details for your next travels. For example, you can find out what new places worth visiting or which places you might want to avoid going to.

The main difference between travel documentaries and travel shows are its focuses or the purposes of the programs. Travel documentaries, besides highlighting the countries and increasing its profiles, are all about social information. In other words, the shows are there to tell the audiences a certain issue that is still a major problem in the countries. For example, there might be a travel documentary telling the tense relationship between North Korea and South Korea.

The whole program will be showcasing interviews of the Vietnamese and how their lives have changed since the war. Other than that, interviews of those involved in the war will be the highlights as well.

While the documentary is more on some issues faced in the country, travel shows are more on promoting the places as tourist destinations.

The show will be showcasing interesting places in the country that must the viewers must visit when they are there. Let take the example of a travel show to Vietnam. The travel show will be informing the viewers of beautiful places that one must pay a visit when they are there. They will be promoting places like Halong Bay and so on.
