EOS 650D To Be Announced This Week!

By Eric Shade

Whenever a new model Canon is due out the internet becomes rampant with rumors regarding features, pricing, and technical specifications. The expected Canon EOS 650D is no exception!

We've searched the net seeking rumors about the latest Canon, although there is certain encouraging information, no one has a single thing strong. What has already been established is the model will be named the 650D for the majority of people located around the world and the T4i for anyone in america. Absolutely no wonder there.

So we have the EOS Rebel T4i or EOS 650D... How about new features? Now comes the exciting part. What I got excited about was the possibility of autofocus while in video mode. Ummm... about time? Do you really expect consumer camera buyers to be proficient enough with the manual focus ring to be capable of keeping their moving subjects in focus?

Ok, autofocus would be cool. What are the other rumors? How about the addition of the DIGIC-5 processor? This would be a welcome upgrade and improvement in image quality, particularly for low light / high ISO shooting. This would be especially true if Canon sticks with the 18 mega-pixel APS-C sensor as found on the previous 600D.

Nevertheless, it's also already been rumored that a brand-new twenty-four mega-pixel sensor may make it in to the brand new EOS 650D. Actually, I'd preferably getting better low-light pictures compared to a touch better resolution. That is simply me.

A French e-book regarding the EOS 650D has been noticed at Amazon online marketplace -- and then without delay removed. One of the most interesting things about this Amazon oops! is the fact that the e-book possessed a release day listed... wait for it... The 17th of May! Now that doesn't mean the new 650D is going to be unveiled on the 17th -- nevertheless I think it indicates it will be launched possibly on or even before the seventeenth!

With NAB 2012 currently being held in Las Vegas, one must wonder if the announcement could be made this week. Time will only tell!
