You must set up your camera well if you are to get the best of photos. There are several settings you can always use on the camera. If you are closer to the subject, a macro setting is very appropriate. The point here is to set your camera in the most appropriate way when taking a shoot.

Mostly, a tripod used with a timer or some remote control will keep any natural movement of the photographer at bay hence availing an opportunity to produce a very good photo.

The lighting of the environment matters. Assuming that most of the shoots will be done during day time, it is advisable to avoid midday light when shooting in sunny days. This type of lighting has a way of bringing in too mush contrast.

The type of lens you use matters a great deal. Wide angle lenses are usually not advisable to use in the world of photography. The reason for this notion is that these types of lenses always have a way of bringing some distortion especially if the photographer is near the subject in this case the landscape. Medium sized lenses are the best to use.

As a photographer you must learn to trust your gut feeling, it is what makes great photographers. Sometimes that great shot may be determined by that strange feeling you are feeling in your gut.
