The digital imaging development of Konica Minolta has resulted to the Sony A100. The camera is referred to as Sony Alpha100 or DSLR-A100. The device is designed to meet the expectations of the user.

This device helps you capture images in three sizes. The minimum image size of photos is 2.5megapixels while the maximum is 10megapixels. One of the main features installed in the camera is the image size of 10.8megapixels. Images taken are stored in the camera in the JPEG format.

Compression levels include fine and standard. The fine compression reduces the size of the image and offers high JPEG image quality. Image quality is more reduced by the standard compression level. It reduces the images using stronger compression and allows more images to be stored. The RAW format can be used to save the images.

The device has two sensitivity settings. The settings allow it to vary the ISO required by the surrounding light of the image. The two sensitivity settings are Lo80 which captures images in dark surroundings. The setting prevents loss of details in the shadows. The other setting is Hi200 that capture photos in bright surroundings. It helps you keep the details in the highlights.

The lens type of the camera is Minolta A mount lens. It has a eye-start AF option that senses the presence of the user through the proximity sensor. Noise is reduced when taking photos using the noise reduction technology. You can take photos in blurred visions using the anti-blur feature. The camera is protected from dust caused by static electricity using the anti-dust characteristic.

You can adjust the settings of the camera depending with how you want to use it. The camera has various options to choose from using the buttons. You can replay, delete, format, reset or protect an image. Date imprints can be done using the buttons on the camera.

Sony A100 comes with a rechargeable battery. The battery is fully charged within four hours. If the memory is full you can install an external memory in the memory card slot. You can connect the camera to a USB port or video connection using the dual use connection.
