Different Learning Styles As It Pertains To The Guitar

Acoustic Guitar Chords come in all shapes and sizes and it's usually the first thing you'll learn when you begin to play guitar.

Let's face, without these chords there's now playing the guitar unless you wish to focus solely on lead guitar but even then you need to learn chords.

There are a lot of different approaches when it comes to learning acoustic guitar chords and it all depends where you're at.

There are lots of alternative methods when it comes to learning acoustic guitar chords and it actually depends where you are at.

Learning how to do something right from the start is much easier than trying to get rid of unacceptable habits afterwards.

If you're just starting out you don't need to learn a ton of chords and I always suggest starting with the three chord trick in A.

Learning the best way to do something right from the start is a lot easier than attempting to get rid of nasty habits thereafter.

If you are already comfy on the guitar and you have a bunch of basic acoustic guitar chords under your belt then it'd be a smart idea to concentrate on more interesting chords like major 7's, sus chords and so on.

Learning how to embellish these chords will also help you out enormously. Folks like James Taylor does dazzling things with the most basic chords. Check him out, he's a great player!

If you're already comfortable on the guitar and you have got a bunch of basic acoustic guitar chords down then it might be a good idea to target more fascinating chords like major 7's, sus chords and such like.

I'll talk about preferred learning styles in another post except for now I'd like you to think about your favorite learning style. It might seem silly but believe me this makes a huge difference!
