The Transformers Get Darker

Optimus Prime and the rest of the Autobots return in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the third instalment of the blockbuster movie franchise.A dark secret is revealed as the Autobots discover a hidden Cybertronian spacecraft on the moon that may threaten Earth's existence.It's a race against the Decepticons, who themselves plan to unleash its destructive power on the world.

Joining Autobot leader Optimus Prime are stalwarts Ironhide, Ratchet, and Bumblebee.They will be joined by new Autobots Sideswipe, Mirage, and Silverbolt.The mysterious warrior Sentinel Prime, Optimus' predecessor, also makes an appearance, though his true intentions are unknown.Expect to see all of these characters featuring on new Transformers t-shirts.

Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) returns to aid the Autobots and the U.S. Government fight against the new alien threat.Megan Fox is gone, replaced by model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who plays Sam's new love interest Carly Miller.Returning actors include John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, and Tyrese Gibson.

The theme song of the movie will be Linkin Park's track Iridescent.The previous theme songs of the first two movies also featured songs from the band, namely What I've Done, and New Divide.The movie soundtrack will also feature songs from American band Paramore.

Hasbro's Transformers toy line in the 1980s and the subsequent television series and animated movie inspired the Dreamworks series.The Transformers movie franchise has grossed over $1.5 billion all over the world, and that success has transferred to the Hasbro toy line as well.New toys based on the updated robot models have been selling well, and likewise for the video game adaptations released concurrently with the movies. Sales of Transformers tees have also sky rocketed thanks to the success of the movies..

The success of the movies can be seen by the number of kids wearing Transformers tshirts.The Transformers franchise will have additional instalments in the future, but director Michael Bay is not confirmed to be attached to future projects.The big-action director is famous for other movies such as Bad Boys, The Rock, and Armageddon, all of which feature hyper-realized action scenes.
