How Hrithik Roshan Became Famous?

Every year, a lot of actors and actresses, to become popular through movies, make an entry into the competitive world of cinema however only some become successful. 1 star kid who convincingly proved his talent as an actor was, Hrithik Roshan, son of producer-director Rakesh Roshan.

He appeared as a child artist during the 1980s in movies like Apke Deewane, Aasha and Bhagwan Dada. He was a very lucky actor to have received a good opening in his career and also some positive comments from critics. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000), his debut Hindi film, gave him the opportunity to perform 2 different characters. Apart from becoming a blockbuster at box office, the movie received many honors too.

Hrithik Roshan became a star within a small period of time by bagging both the best debutant and best actor awards in the Filmfare awards function. The film was included in Limca Book of Records for the number of awards it bagged in just one year. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai had won 102 awards in total.

In the year 2000, he was roped in for films like Fiza and Mission Kashmir by the directors Khalid Mohammed and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. His acting was rated as excellent by critics and he kept his performances up to the mark in the coming year also. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham also turned out to be a hit at the box office and even went on to become the 2nd biggest grosser of the year.

He acted with some of the best actors in Bollywood like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan and Kajol. His popularity went down in 2002 as a number of movies in which he worked failed to capture audience' attention. But he regained his fame with Koi Mil Gaya, working along with Preity Zinta, in which he performed the role of a mentally disabled person. His acting talent was proven again by Lakshya (directed by Farhan Akhtar), in which he presented the transformation of the character from a lazy individual to a focused individual, skillfully.

After that he took a sabbatical from films for some time and resurfaced with Krrish, in which he did double role, one being the super hero. This film is sequel to Koi Mil Gaya. The stylish avatar of a super hero was received well by the family audience in India. With Dhoom becoming a success, his good times continued.

Through Luck By Chance and Jodha Akbar, film goers saw him in performance oriented roles. For his character of Ethan Mascarenhas in the movie Guzaarish, he got very good reviews from critics. His upcoming movies Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Krrish 2 are being awaited eagerly. Hrithik Roshan lives in Mumbai along with his 2 children and wife Suzanne.
