Selecting a Good Photographer

By Ronald Fisher

Getting married is probably one of the most important moments of anybody's life. This magical ceremony is one that anyone would want to remember for the rest of their life. The best way to do this is through a professional photographer. Many times couples will choose to have a friend or family member take care of all of the photography on that special day.

What this all means to you is that it may take some time before your wedding photo package is ready. How long it takes depends on the skill level of your photographer and how advance the equipment they use is. This is important to discuss with your photographer and if they are experienced, they should be able to give a fairly concise timeframe.

Maybe the number one reason to hire a professional photographer when you get married in Las Vegas is experience. Many issues can present themselves when trying to take wedding photos. Cameras have been getting more and more advanced and the last thing you want during your wedding is a photographer trying to figure out how to work his camera during your big day.

Many wedding experts recommended that you spend around 10% of your total wedding budget on a photographer. Keep that in mind, because the average wedding in the Las Vegas area costs around $15,000. That means you should expect to pay somewhere around $1,500. The truth is that this can greatly vary and prices can actually range between 500$ and $3,000. You should keep an estimate in mind, but focus on what will make you happy on your special day.

A great starter question is to ask about the type of style they use when taking wedding photos. This will give you a great idea on their personality and how it is revealed in their work. If you feel that their personal style fits your idea of nice wedding, than it may be a perfect match. Another trait this question may reveal is how easy the photographer is to get along with. This is not only important for the guests, but the bride and groom as well.
