Getting Unforgettable Wedding Stills

By Shawn Smith

If you or your buddies haven't been to a marriage for while, you might think only of traditional marriage photographs from your memory or what's been portrayed in the media. This might be staged photos of the bride-to-be and bridegroom, marriage party, and guests where the photographer says "smile." Naturally, this clearly still exists, but these days you have got other styles to choose from. With the advancement of photography hardware, much more variety can be accomplished.

Two increasingly popular marriage photography styles are reportage and contemporary styles.

Reportage marriage photos include random shots where people do not realize they are being photographed or, if they are aware the photographer's nearby, they're not looking into the camera. These types of wedding pictures are becoming popular because they capture the natural moment, aren't staged and so has no pretension about it.

Contemporary marriage photography is where the photographer directs you, combining both staged and candid shots, using different camera angles to form a dynamic and creative style. This would be your more standard type shots.

As mentioned above, professional photographers now have the most advanced equipment to capture many various styles in a variety of scenarios. With the introduction of digital photography, multiple shots can be taken in an extremely short time frame enabling them to capture the moment reasonably well. Ensure you discuss with your marriage photographer the use the landscape for stunning staged shots. Marriage pictures taken by an old oak tree, a little pond, or standing on a boat launch are beautiful, especially when wider views are used to incorporate the landscape better.

There are just so many options open to you as the customer. It's your decision to make the correct choice concerning your marriage photographer because getting the wrong wedding photographs would be a shame and a waste of money.
