Pop Singer - Nicole Scherzinger

Nicole Scherzinger was born on June 29 in Honolulu, and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. While attending a performing arts high school, she won the Coca-Cola Classic Talent Contest and performed in many plays at The Actors Theatre of Louisville. She then furthered her studies majoring in theater arts at Wright State University before entering the premiere season of the WB's television show, Pop stars where she earned a role of lead vocalist in the female pop group "Eden's Crush. Nicole is best known as the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. Outside of her work with the Dolls, Nicole recently performed with Japanese superstar, Yoshiki, at the Tokyo International Forum of Japan and had guest appearances on "My wife and Kids" and "Wanda at Large". Nicole also has a single, "Breakfast in Bed" out on Adam Sandler's 50 First Dates soundtrack.

In 2001, Scherzinger entered as a contestant on the first season of the WB television show Pop stars, where she won the role of lead singer in the resulting all-girl pop group Eden's Crush. The group's first single, "Get Over Yourself," did well on radio and broke into the Billboard Hot 100s Top Ten, but when their label folded soon after, Eden's Crush shortly followed suit. Scherzinger pushed forward and contributed a track "Breakfast in Bed" to the soundtrack for the Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore flick 50 First Dates under the name Nicole Kea.

Nicole had been working on her debt album from 2006 to late 2008. The album was titled in her name. For the album she wrote around 75 - 100 songs and recorded it, which was supposed to be released in 2007 before being pushed to October 16, 2008 and later into 2009.

"Whatever U Like" (featuring T.I.) which was released as the album's lead single on July 24, 2007 but deemed unsuccessful reaching just 57 in Canada. "Baby Love" was the second single released on September 10, 2007, but the track didn't chart well in the United States.

In 2010 Nicole continue pursuing her solo career and release her debut studio album, Killer Love, on March 18, 2011 through Interscope Records. Killer Love was preceded by the release of the Red One-produced lead single, "Poison" which was quite successful in international territories. In the United Kingdom and Ireland, it respectively peaked at number three and number seven becoming one of Scherzinger's best charting solo singles. It received mainly positive critical reception. It was followed by second single, "Don't Hold Your Breath" in March 2011, which debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart. Now Nicole is back to her pop life.

When she was asked about her marriage, she told her fans: "The guy who marries me is going to be with me forever because I am very traditional." "There's no rush. I just want to make sure it is the right time for everything. And I'm really married to my work. It takes up all of my time." The work Nicole is talking about is the latest projects of her including competing on the new season of Dancing with the Stars. Nicole Scherzinger finds being a solo artist more relaxing, though she admits she felt like the "queen" of former group Pussycat Dolls.
