Digital camera is a popular device that is used to take nice high quality shots under any conditions. As a matter of fact, there are a great variety of digital cameras represented by numerous trademarks. These items vary in price and technical characteristics and have a large number of functions promoting the quality of taken photos and making operation easier and more convenient.

The standard set of a digital camera is determined by its price and characteristics. As a rule, this device is supplemented with: battery and charger (alternatively by replaceable AA batteries); memory card (customers are invited to purchase memory cards of bigger capacity at once); audio/video cable (optional device to connect camera to TV); USB cable and installation disk (to make the digital item compatible with PCs); special napkin to wipe the lens and a lot of others.

It is always better to check all essential supplementary items at the time of purchase of a digital camera. If an inbuilt automatic shutter is not equipped with the camera, attaching a lid can safeguard it.

When you are ready to start using your camera and exploring its functions you should charge it and press the "ON" button. This will make the lens zoom out signalizing that the camera is ready for operation. Standard digital cameras have a lot of functions, depending on the model. But virtually all digital cameras have some standard functions such as: "ON/OFF" button (which powers the camera up/down); "Menu" (provides access to a desired function); "Zoom" button (to change distance); "Scope" regime (allows you to review recorded photos) and "Snap" button (to make a photo).

Unlike ordinary camera, digital type involves use of a snap button for two times. First time pressing involve subject focus, exposure, and data display on LCD screen. Second time pressing involve confirmation of shot. Besides, one can also set manually functions like zoom, good exposure etc., for picture perfect photographs, using a menu screen.

In a digital camera, zoom function works in two modes. Deactivation mode help viewer to see object closer. Activation mode helps the viewer to see an object at a distance. Scope function allow viewer to save or delete shots taken under either mode.

Taken photos can be recorded on a PC or viewed by the means of inserting memory card into special slot.
