About Angelina Jole And Her Accomplishments

By Emma Henderson

If any actress were at the peak of her career today, then the only one to come to mind is the talented Angelina Jole. Even with her early roles in movies such as Gia, Girl, Interrupted, and George Wallace, she caught audiences' attention with her acting. Already a recipient of several awards like the Academy Award, the Golden Globes, and the Screen Actors Guild Award, she is certainly a contender in the acting world.

As a daughter of actor Jon Voight, Angelina has been honing her acting skills from a young age with her father in the film Lookin' to Get Out, which led her to her first major role in 1995 alongside Jonny Lee Miller. This then led to her breakthrough role in Girl, Interrupted where she won as Best Supporting Actress for the Academy Awards.

Over the years her acting has brought her to choose from a diversity of roles such as playing Lara in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Mrs. Smith in Mr. And Mrs. Smith, and dipping her fingers into animation by doing being the voice of the tiger in Kung Fu Panda. Her more recent roles in A Mighty Heart and in The Changeling have definitely helped her grow and develop as an actress.

Aside from being an actress, the world has been intrigued with her personal life as well as she went through two whirlwind marriages with Billy Bob Thornton and her first husband, Jonny Lee Miller. What caught everyone's attention was the alleged affair that she an Brad Pitt nurtured as they made the movie Mr. And Mrs. Smith, which allegedly made Brad Pitt leave his wife Jennifer Aniston to be with Angelina.

Angelina has grown as a humanitarian by becoming a Goodwill Ambassador for refugees with the United Nations. Despite her busy schedule, she has chosen to increase the size of her family by adopting children from Cambodia, Ethiopia, and Vietnam and by having three children of her own with Brad Pitt, a little girl and twins.

Angelina Jole has become a role model for many young women and continues to be scrutinized by the world. However, there is nothing too negative about a woman who is successfully raising a brood of six children while honing her acting skills with prize-winning roles, while at the same time doing good for the world with her humanitarian efforts.
