Toronto is an awesome place for musicals, shows, plays, and theatre Toronto. People travel to Toronto from everywhere to see the best entertainment and events. One of the things that have made it so popular amongst tourist is the cost of their Broadway-style productions. They are cheaper than some other places like Chicago and New York and they are near the best dining, shopping, and hotels. Below, is an explanation of some venues.

The North York Performing Arts Centre has two theatres. One of the theatres can seat 1700 people and the other can seat 1000 people. Large scale dramas, dances, musicals, and operas are performed here. It is conveniently located north of central downtown and close to Sheppard subway stops.

The St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts has two stylish theatres. Classical music performances, comedy, improv, and Opera performances are valued by its guests. It is in the St. Lawrence neighborhood, which is also the eldest in the city. This is a great place to visit.

The Soulpepper was founded by artists in 1997. Since its birth, some of the most brilliant performances in the world have been performed here. It is a classical repertory and presents performances in Canadian interpretations. It also gives training to young artists.

The Sony Centre also known as the Hummingbird Stage was designed to accommodate a large variety of performances. However, it mostly lends itself to large musicals such as ballet and opera. The best in the business have graced this stage and it continues to be popular.

The Roy Thomson Hall seats 2800 people and is home to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Mendelssohn Choir. It was opened in 1982 and is located in the King St. District. Its unique curvilinear design has made it a landmark in the city. It mostly lends itself to musical performances.

Theatre Toronto is home to the greatest places for all to enjoy awesome plays, shows, and musicals. The city has been one of the most visited places for great entertainment for a long time. The North York Performing Arts Centre is great for music, dramas, and many other spectacular performances. Other deserving places are the Roy Thomson Hall, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, Soulpepper, and the Sony Centre. Everyone of these places will satisfy all of your entertainment needs and desires. They are also located near the best restaurants, shopping, and hotels. Their blend of art, history, and culture is the greatest around.
