The Most Original Gift from a Trip Around the World

By Jeff Hardy

My mother has her 54th birthday last week. On a regular circumstances this could be an easy task for me - a huge nosegay of roses that mother adores and a family dinner at a nice restaurant. The only problem this year is that I on a backpacker's trip for 6 months now. My mother's birthday caught me a few days after my trip to the Machu Picchu‮ ‬lost city of the Inca.‭ ‬I saw many thing during my trip,‭ ‬but this is certainly one of the highlights.‭

I could have sent her flowers using the many online flower providers, but I knew that could make her sad seeing the flowers without me there. So, one of the fellows I'm travelling with, an American guy from Dallas, recommended me of surprising them with a canvas photo from my trip. I didn't know what a canvas print is, and after I googled it I saw a huge scene of canvas photo providers. Process is very simple - I uploaded a nice photo of me with the Machu Picchu on the background and order a 30 X 40 inch canvas photo, stretched on wooden bars.

I made the order from magnipic.com which offers a worldwide delivery. I didn't tell my mother a thing, and called her on her birthday. She received the photo on canvas exactly at her birthday and she was almost crying out of joy when we were talking - "...this canvas print was the best birthday gift ever!" she screamed over the phone.

She told me that they already hanged the canvas print in the living room and that she can't wait her friends see it when they come this evening to celebrate with her.
Well, I must say this was a small effort for me with such applause that I know this is definitely not the last photo on canvas I'll order.

Canvas prints can also be ordered with artistic effects like oil painting, water color and more for no extra charge.
