Photography Events in 2011

It's the beginning of a New Year 2011 and the start of this year's multitude of photography events. If you're just a photography admirer and are looking forward to a new year full of wonderful events or if you are an artist who is preparing for a show, this is an exciting time for you.

If you are planning on entering your photography into an event you should consider getting your pictures professionally printed. Find somewhere which offers a multitude of high quality, professional photography tools at your fingertips. For an example, if you want take your favourite photographs and turn them into stunning canvas prints worthy if space in any art event or gallery, the company you chose should be able to do this for you at an acceptable price. Try and find a place which uses exceptional handcrafted 100 percent cotton canvas that will bring you amazing results.

If you have additional pieces of work that you are unable to bring to an event, consider creating a professional photo album or book filled with photos of all of your additional and past works. Create your own photo album using an online editing feature; many companies offer this as a free option. These are great to have available at an event along with your business cards. It will encourage all your followers to contact you for more pieces of your create photo art.

Mary McCartney, From Where I Stand, National Portrait Gallery, London, through February 13th 2011:The exhibition is a selection from McCartney's photography from the 1990s to the present time.

Stieglitz, Steichen, Strand, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York through April 10th, 2011Featuring three giants in the industry who's creations are among the greatest treasures in the gallery.

National Portrait Gallery, London, February 18th through September 2011:Showcasing Hopp's modernist photographs of important people as well as his photo journalist studies.

London Street Photography/Museum of London, February 18th through September 2011:This is an important exhibition of London Street Photography, offering more than 200 images created by 59 photographers.

London Photography Fair, London, February 20th, May 15th, September 1st and November 20th 2011:This fair showcases photography from the 19th to 21 centuries along with photographers showcasing their own works. This is a premier event for collectors and attracts around 50 different dealers.
