Denzel Washington Movies Entertain Endlessly

By Denzel Smith

As a well-known actor, portraying many different facets of life though his acting career, Denzel Washington movies find him playing police officer or career criminal and maybe a little of both and he never ceases to entertain.

Denzel Hayes Washington Jr. Was born on the 28th of December in 1954. He was raised by a beautician mother and a father who was pastor. His original career goal was that of a journalist, but the acting bug took him by surprise.

He did a few minor television appearances before his first big screen role in Carbon Copy, a 1981 movie that also starred George Segal. His big break was however, not in movies, but on the television show St Elsewhere. He regularly appeared as a St Elsewhere cast member for six years, while working on The Mighty Quinn and For Queen and Country. This led to his next movie and first Oscar for Glory. He would go on to win another Oscar years later, playing a corrupt cop in Training Day.

his main strength lies his biographical portrayals of real people. The films Remember the Titan, American Gangster, and The Hurricane are all reality based films.

A slew of movies featuring Denzel also show him as an authority figure, playing lead officers or military roles. In his roles for both Virtuosity and Crimson Tide, he was a lieutenant, but in He Got Game, Denzel was a good for nothing father briefly let out of prison, looking to ride the coattails of his basketball-playing son in exchange for a shorter prison sentence.

Denzel has been in a variety of films, giving performances that often outshine the box office results. Renting or buying Denzel Washington movies and having a marathon are not a bad way to experience a master at work.
