If you are a fan of the 1950's and earlier decades then you will want to watch classic movies online. These very creative and unique films were the best that cinemas had to offer years ago. They are better than what we view in today's world since they focused on great stories and acting abilities rather than people getting naked onscreen. Sex has become such an unpleasant part of going out to the movies and for this reason people will download the shows from the past.
For those individuals who grew up decades ago they realize how these features would always have a major star in them. Spencer Tracy, Clark Gable, Joan Crawford and Miss Bette Davis were the best of the best years ago. These were the American stars that had clout when they were placed in any film.
When searching on your computer be sure to add such features as "Mildred Pierce", "To Kill A Mockingbird", "The Great Lie", "Gone With The Wind", "Gigi", "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" and "The African Queen" to your list. Hollywood produced these great hits that are still very popular.
When you want to see a film that will take you away in time for a few hours then "Gone With The Wind" may be just the ticket for you. This is a great story about the American Civil war and the young lady who faced so many tragedies during that era. The viewer will follow her through her triumphs and failures that could possibly happen to anyone.
"The Great Lie" can be viewed from any computer these days and it is well worth watching. This film tells the story about two women who keep a secret from the man that they both love. The ending of this story will surprise many viewers since it is very unexpected.
Another vehicle that Bette Davis starred in was "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane". The film is a very twisted tale about two sisters who were enemies all of their lives because of an accident that never should have happened. In this case it is very rare to watch Joan Crawford in a role where she plays the victim.
Louis Jourdan is very pleasing in the film "Gigi". This story centers around a young girl who turns into a woman very quickly. There are many songs throughout the film but they do not get in the way of the major story. Mr. Jourdan shows off his good looks and singing style in this film.
"Mildred Pierce" is a woman who gained power and success but lost her only living child in the process. This tells the story about a woman who started off with very little and fought her way to the top. During that time she finds herself in a bitter battle with her daughter over a man. People who watch classic movies online will love this story and they will view it several times more. This is truly a story that catches your attention.
